Work with Me!

My Approach:

My first priority is building the therapeutic relationship to assure you feel safe and comfortable to begin (or continue) your healing and growth journey.Through my own journey both personally and professionally,
I know the consequences that come from striving for perfection (and the resulting burnout and loss that accompanies it). In a world that focuses on perception, perfection, and self-promotion, we need to find the courage to be vulnerable and show our authentic selves unapologetically.
I offer a space that promotes and encourages self-compassion, forgiveness, and grace.
My areas of support include:-Anxiety
-Depression
-Childhood trauma
-Life-transitions
-Women issues
-Parenting support
-Work and school stress
-Boundary setting and relationships
-Self-compassion
-Shame resilience
I use techniques from a wide variety of modalities so that together, we can identify and process areas of discomfort, practice self-regulation and coping skills, and reframe negative thought patterns. The modalities include but are not limited to Client Centered Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Breathwork, and prayer all from a faith-based perspective.

Walk & Talk Therapy

Walk and Talk Therapy is where I literally walk alongside you in your personal journey. We meet in nature and walk through emotions and experiences together. You are not alone in this quest of life. Nature and movement have been found to have restorative benefits by:-Feeling more free to release emotions when walking side-by-side instead of face-to-face
-Increasing mind and body awareness
-Decreasing overwhelm and worry
Nature supports emotional and physical regulation, mood, self-esteem and physical health, so it just makes sense to incorporate it into our therapy session!Physical movement during sessions encourages psychological movement, and can even accelerate client breakthroughs. The endorphins that exercise produces has a known positive impact on mental health.

Walk and talk therapy can help treat issues such as:

-Anxiety disorders
-Depression
-Self-esteem Issues
-Life transitions
-Stress
-Anger
-Bereavement

*Walking paths will be selected in the West Monroe/Monroe area.

Therapy Intensives

If you are short on time but want relief from your concerns ASAP, consider a therapy intensive.-Modern approach to therapy
-Reduced disruption to work/life schedules
-Cost-effective due to short-term nature of services
The traditional model of weekly therapy is shifting to meet your needs. NOW MORE THAN EVER we need flexibility in how we get support. How does intensive therapy work?
Before the session, you will complete a brief questionnaire so that it is clear what your goals are for our time together.
During the intensive, we will focus on practicing specific skills to decrease emotionally painful sensations while also increasing your ability to connect with more enjoyable feelings, thoughts and memories.Depending on where you are in life and your goals for the Therapy Intensive, we may spend time processing relationships and events of your past, present or worries for the future. At the conclusion of the session, we will reflect on what you processed and learned, what was meaningful, and how you will take your new insights and incorporate them into your life moving forward.A therapy intensive is like a Disney FastPass. You get a VIP experience, skipping the lines of traditional therapy waitlists and accelerate your healing.

How is intensive therapy more cost effective and time efficient than weekly therapy?

Weekly therapy typically includes:
* 10-15 minutes of checking in from the last session
* 20-30 minutes of processing the issue
* 10-15 minutes of closing the session
You might spend a month working on one specific stressor, costing time and money. Meanwhile, new challenges pop up that may shift the focus in future sessions. With a therapy intensive, you might FULLY resolve one or more stressors in one session.YOU FEEL BETTER SOONER.* Spend less on symptom-managing medications (that may not be working anyway).
* Fewer times taking off work or juggling childcare needs.

Let's Work Together!

Whether you prefer to meet indoors, in nature, or virtually, I am here to support you! If you are ready to make changes in your life and get "unstuck", let's work together to make that happen!

One hour session: $130
Three hour therapy intensive: $600

While I do not accept insurance directly, I can provide a detailed invoice which you can submit to your insurance company for possible reimbursement. This document includes all necessary information for potential insurance claims and refunds. Below I will give more insight on why I don't accept insurance.1. Prioritizing the well-being of my clients.2. Privacy and confidentiality. Insurance companies often require detailed information about a client's diagnosis and treatment, compromising the confidentiality of the therapeutic relationship.3. Less administrative burdens. Dealing with insurance companies often involves a significant administrative load. From verifying coverage to handling claims and paperwork, it can be time-consuming. Time and energy that would be better spent supporting my clients in their healing journey!4. Avoiding limitations to treatment. Insurance companies might limit the number of sessions or require pre-authorization for treatment, which could interfere with the therapy process. I want to give my clients the best treatment possible without limitations.
